B.League: Ray Parks, Nagoya back on track with win over Gunma

MANILA, Philippines—Nagoya and Bobby Ray Parks Jr, got back on the win column as they got back at Gunma, 100-90, in their inter-conference matchup in the 2021-22 Japan B.League season Sunday at Ota City Sports Park.

The Diamond Dolphins, who suffered a 101-92 loss to the Crane Thunders on Saturday, improved to 6-5 in the West Conference.

Coty Clarke led Nagoya with 18 points, going 8-of-8 from the free throw line, and five boards while Saito Takumi and Scott Eatherton both had 17 points.

Ito Tatsuya added 14 points to help the Diamond Dolphins while Parks also finished in double digits with 12 points, five rebounds, and one steal.

Justin Keenan led the Crane Thunders, who dropped to 4-7, with 21 points and eight rebounds.

Ibaraki, meanwhile, got one back from Osaka, 81-72, in the second straight matchup between the two teams at Ookini Arena Maishima.

The Robots lost to Evessa, 90-72, in their previous meeting on Saturday and their victory in their second meeting saw them improve to a 2-9 card in the East Conference.

Marc Trasolini finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and one block to lead Ibaraki while Eric Jacobsen added 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Javi Gomez de Liaño, which made his B.League debut on Saturday,  registered a DNP.

Kyle Hunt led Osaka with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals while Perry Ellis added 22 points.

The Evessa slid to 4-7 in the West Conference.
